Denim!

Denim modeled at Quilt and Craft Show "Gild The Lily", Melbourne, July, 2005

Fabrics - denim recycled; T-shirt - 100% cotton new

Techniques: 1. Original computerized machine embroidery featuring giraffes - ancient image from cave painting in the Sahara where it is believed that the giraffe became extinct in the first century AD. The running giraffe is a Masai Giraffe found only in the Masai homeland. There are embroidered spirals as well.

2. The denim has been discharge dyed with spirals and other shapes. The denim was cut into panels and machine washed to create the frayed edges.

Exhibited: Sydney Quilt & Craft Show, June, 2004
