The Mask quilt was constructed from commercial African fabrics and hand-dyed fabrics; the banners were Indonesian batik and hand-dyed fabrics; the flora quilts , giraffes and flamingoes were original hand-dyed fabrics. Original machine embroideries feature the endangered species of Southern Africa. The quilting on Masks was carried out by Joanne Tadros using original computerized quilting patterns from the Heitree Design collection. All original designs by Janice Heitbaum.
